‘’On the 12th May in Plovdiv, Bulgaria psychologists, social workers, and lawyers participated in a work meeting to discuss the importance of social work and psychological help for the refugees and migrants, the issues in Iran, Syria, Afghanistan, and Ukraine were also discussed.
During the meeting, various challenges related to working with refugees and migrants from these regions were discussed. Psychologists shared their observations regarding the traumatic experiences and needs of these individuals, offering strategies for support and psychological assistance.
Social workers discussed the socio-economic challenges faced by refugees and migrants, including access to education, healthcare, and housing. Good practices and solutions for their integration into society were exchanged.
Lawyers examined the legal framework and legislation concerning refugees and migrants from these regions. They discussed the rights of refugees, protection for vulnerable groups, and challenges in providing legal support and assistance to these individuals.
The meeting provided an opportunity for knowledge, experience, and resource sharing among professionals working in the field of refugees and migrants. Its aim was to raise awareness and find collaborative solutions to improve support and integration for refugees and migrants from Iran, Syria, Afghanistan, and Ukraine.
Social workers begun a discussion on problems for women in Iran. It was said that women in Iran face various challenges and issues that impact their rights and freedoms. Some of the key areas where women in Iran experience difficulties are legal restrictions, employment and economic opportunities, gender inequality domestic violence and honor killings limited freedom of expression and assembly. It is important to note that there are also Iranian women who actively challenge these issues and work towards promoting gender equality and women’s rights in the country. Despite the challenges they face, Iranian women continue to advocate for change and push for greater equality and freedoms.’’
